34 Hope in the Lord(A)
    and keep his way.(B)
He will exalt you to inherit the land;
    when the wicked are destroyed,(C) you will see(D) it.

35 I have seen a wicked and ruthless man
    flourishing(E) like a luxuriant native tree,
36 but he soon passed away and was no more;
    though I looked for him, he could not be found.(F)

37 Consider the blameless,(G) observe the upright;(H)
    a future awaits those who seek peace.[a](I)
38 But all sinners(J) will be destroyed;(K)
    there will be no future[b] for the wicked.(L)

39 The salvation(M) of the righteous comes from the Lord;
    he is their stronghold in time of trouble.(N)
40 The Lord helps(O) them and delivers(P) them;
    he delivers them from the wicked and saves(Q) them,
    because they take refuge(R) in him.

36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
