32 And John (A)testified, saying, “(B)I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. 33 And I did not recognize [a]Him, but He who sent me to baptize [b]in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, (C)this is the One who baptizes [c]in the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I myself have seen, and have testified that this is (D)the [d]Son of God.”

32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.(A) 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water(B) told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’(C) 34 I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”[a](D)
