²³ And what if he did this to make known the riches of his glory^(A) on objects of mercy^(B) that he prepared beforehand for glory^(C)—

⁷ On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined^(A) before the ages for our glory.^(B)

⁵ He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

¹¹ In him we have also received an inheritance,^[a] because we were predestined^(A) according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,
