The Gospel Exalted

1 Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, ^[a](A)called as an apostle, ^(B)set apart for ^(C)the gospel of God,

¹⁸ to ^(A)open their eyes so that they may turn from ^(B)darkness to light, and from the ^[a]power of ^(C)Satan to God, that they may receive ^(D)forgiveness of sins and an ^(E)inheritance among those who have been sanctified by ^(F)faith in Me.’

⁹ For they themselves report about us ^[a]as to the kind of ^(A)reception we had with you, and how you ^(B)turned to God ^(C)from ^[b]idols to serve ^[c](D)a living and true God,

¹⁸ and were ^(A)crying out as they ^(B)saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘^(C)What city is like ^(D)the great city?’
