If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies.(A) This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.(B) They have power to shut up the heavens(C) so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying;(D) and they have power to turn the waters into blood(E) and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast(F) that comes up from the Abyss(G) will attack them,(H) and overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city(I)—which is figuratively called Sodom(J) and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.(K) For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation(L) will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.(M) 10 The inhabitants of the earth(N) will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts,(O) because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
