Psalm 29

A psalm of David.

Ascribe to the Lord,(A) you heavenly beings,(B)
    ascribe to the Lord glory(C) and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
    worship the Lord in the splendor of his[a] holiness.(D)

The voice(E) of the Lord is over the waters;
    the God of glory(F) thunders,(G)
    the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.(H)
The voice of the Lord is powerful;(I)
    the voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
    the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.(J)
He makes Lebanon leap(K) like a calf,
    Sirion[b](L) like a young wild ox.(M)
The voice of the Lord strikes
    with flashes of lightning.(N)
The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
    the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.(O)
The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[c](P)
    and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”(Q)

10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;(R)
    the Lord is enthroned as King forever.(S)
11 The Lord gives strength to his people;(T)
    the Lord blesses his people with peace.(U)

Psalm 30[d]

A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple.[e] Of David.

I will exalt(V) you, Lord,
    for you lifted me out of the depths(W)
    and did not let my enemies gloat over me.(X)
Lord my God, I called to you for help,(Y)
    and you healed me.(Z)
You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead;(AA)
    you spared me from going down to the pit.(AB)

Sing(AC) the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;(AD)
    praise his holy name.(AE)
For his anger(AF) lasts only a moment,(AG)
    but his favor lasts a lifetime;(AH)
weeping(AI) may stay for the night,
    but rejoicing comes in the morning.(AJ)

When I felt secure, I said,
    “I will never be shaken.”(AK)
Lord, when you favored me,
    you made my royal mountain[f] stand firm;
but when you hid your face,(AL)
    I was dismayed.

To you, Lord, I called;
    to the Lord I cried for mercy:
“What is gained if I am silenced,
    if I go down to the pit?(AM)
Will the dust praise you?
    Will it proclaim your faithfulness?(AN)
10 Hear,(AO) Lord, and be merciful to me;(AP)
    Lord, be my help.(AQ)

11 You turned my wailing(AR) into dancing;(AS)
    you removed my sackcloth(AT) and clothed me with joy,(AU)
12 that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
    Lord my God, I will praise(AV) you forever.(AW)

Psalm 31[g](AX)

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;(AY)
    let me never be put to shame;
    deliver me in your righteousness.(AZ)
Turn your ear to me,(BA)
    come quickly to my rescue;(BB)
be my rock of refuge,(BC)
    a strong fortress to save me.
Since you are my rock and my fortress,(BD)
    for the sake of your name(BE) lead and guide me.
Keep me free from the trap(BF) that is set for me,
    for you are my refuge.(BG)
Into your hands I commit my spirit;(BH)
    deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.(BI)

I hate those who cling to worthless idols;(BJ)
    as for me, I trust in the Lord.(BK)
I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
    for you saw my affliction(BL)
    and knew the anguish(BM) of my soul.
You have not given me into the hands(BN) of the enemy
    but have set my feet in a spacious place.(BO)

Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress;(BP)
    my eyes grow weak with sorrow,(BQ)
    my soul and body(BR) with grief.
10 My life is consumed by anguish(BS)
    and my years by groaning;(BT)
my strength fails(BU) because of my affliction,[h](BV)
    and my bones grow weak.(BW)
11 Because of all my enemies,(BX)
    I am the utter contempt(BY) of my neighbors(BZ)
and an object of dread to my closest friends—
    those who see me on the street flee from me.
12 I am forgotten as though I were dead;(CA)
    I have become like broken pottery.
13 For I hear many whispering,(CB)
    “Terror on every side!”(CC)
They conspire against me(CD)
    and plot to take my life.(CE)

14 But I trust(CF) in you, Lord;
    I say, “You are my God.”
15 My times(CG) are in your hands;
    deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
    from those who pursue me.
16 Let your face shine(CH) on your servant;
    save me in your unfailing love.(CI)
17 Let me not be put to shame,(CJ) Lord,
    for I have cried out to you;
but let the wicked be put to shame
    and be silent(CK) in the realm of the dead.
18 Let their lying lips(CL) be silenced,
    for with pride and contempt
    they speak arrogantly(CM) against the righteous.

19 How abundant are the good things(CN)
    that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,(CO)
    on those who take refuge(CP) in you.
20 In the shelter(CQ) of your presence you hide(CR) them
    from all human intrigues;(CS)
you keep them safe in your dwelling
    from accusing tongues.

21 Praise be to the Lord,(CT)
    for he showed me the wonders of his love(CU)
    when I was in a city under siege.(CV)
22 In my alarm(CW) I said,
    “I am cut off(CX) from your sight!”
Yet you heard my cry(CY) for mercy
    when I called to you for help.

23 Love the Lord, all his faithful people!(CZ)
    The Lord preserves those who are true to him,(DA)
    but the proud he pays back(DB) in full.
24 Be strong and take heart,(DC)
    all you who hope in the Lord.

Psalm 32

Of David. A maskil.[i]

Blessed is the one
    whose transgressions are forgiven,
    whose sins are covered.(DD)
Blessed is the one
    whose sin the Lord does not count against them(DE)
    and in whose spirit is no deceit.(DF)

When I kept silent,(DG)
    my bones wasted away(DH)
    through my groaning(DI) all day long.
For day and night
    your hand was heavy(DJ) on me;
my strength was sapped(DK)
    as in the heat of summer.[j]

Then I acknowledged my sin to you
    and did not cover up my iniquity.(DL)
I said, “I will confess(DM)
    my transgressions(DN) to the Lord.”
And you forgave
    the guilt of my sin.(DO)

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
    while you may be found;(DP)
surely the rising(DQ) of the mighty waters(DR)
    will not reach them.(DS)
You are my hiding place;(DT)
    you will protect me from trouble(DU)
    and surround me with songs of deliverance.(DV)

I will instruct(DW) you and teach you(DX) in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my loving eye on(DY) you.
Do not be like the horse or the mule,
    which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle(DZ)
    or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,(EA)
    but the Lord’s unfailing love
    surrounds the one who trusts(EB) in him.

11 Rejoice in the Lord(EC) and be glad, you righteous;
    sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Psalm 33

Sing joyfully(ED) to the Lord, you righteous;
    it is fitting(EE) for the upright(EF) to praise him.
Praise the Lord with the harp;(EG)
    make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.(EH)
Sing to him a new song;(EI)
    play skillfully, and shout for joy.(EJ)

For the word of the Lord is right(EK) and true;(EL)
    he is faithful(EM) in all he does.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice;(EN)
    the earth is full of his unfailing love.(EO)

By the word(EP) of the Lord the heavens were made,(EQ)
    their starry host(ER) by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters(ES) of the sea into jars[k];(ET)
    he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;(EU)
    let all the people of the world(EV) revere him.(EW)
For he spoke, and it came to be;
    he commanded,(EX) and it stood firm.

10 The Lord foils(EY) the plans(EZ) of the nations;(FA)
    he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm(FB) forever,
    the purposes(FC) of his heart through all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,(FD)
    the people he chose(FE) for his inheritance.(FF)
13 From heaven the Lord looks down(FG)
    and sees all mankind;(FH)
14 from his dwelling place(FI) he watches
    all who live on earth—
15 he who forms(FJ) the hearts of all,
    who considers everything they do.(FK)

16 No king is saved by the size of his army;(FL)
    no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse(FM) is a vain hope for deliverance;
    despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes(FN) of the Lord are on those who fear him,
    on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,(FO)
19 to deliver them from death(FP)
    and keep them alive in famine.(FQ)

20 We wait(FR) in hope for the Lord;
    he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,(FS)
    for we trust in his holy name.(FT)
22 May your unfailing love(FU) be with us, Lord,
    even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 34[l][m]

Of David. When he pretended to be insane(FV) before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left.

I will extol the Lord at all times;(FW)
    his praise will always be on my lips.
I will glory(FX) in the Lord;
    let the afflicted hear and rejoice.(FY)
Glorify the Lord(FZ) with me;
    let us exalt(GA) his name together.

I sought the Lord,(GB) and he answered me;
    he delivered(GC) me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;(GD)
    their faces are never covered with shame.(GE)
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.(GF)
The angel of the Lord(GG) encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers(GH) them.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;(GI)
    blessed is the one who takes refuge(GJ) in him.
Fear the Lord,(GK) you his holy people,
    for those who fear him lack nothing.(GL)
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.(GM)
11 Come, my children, listen(GN) to me;
    I will teach you(GO) the fear of the Lord.(GP)
12 Whoever of you loves life(GQ)
    and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue(GR) from evil
    and your lips from telling lies.(GS)
14 Turn from evil and do good;(GT)
    seek peace(GU) and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord(GV) are on the righteous,(GW)
    and his ears are attentive(GX) to their cry;
16 but the face of the Lord is against(GY) those who do evil,(GZ)
    to blot out their name(HA) from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears(HB) them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close(HC) to the brokenhearted(HD)
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19 The righteous person may have many troubles,(HE)
    but the Lord delivers him from them all;(HF)
20 he protects all his bones,
    not one of them will be broken.(HG)

21 Evil will slay the wicked;(HH)
    the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord will rescue(HI) his servants;
    no one who takes refuge(HJ) in him will be condemned.

Psalm 35

Of David.

Contend,(HK) Lord, with those who contend with me;
    fight(HL) against those who fight against me.
Take up shield(HM) and armor;
    arise(HN) and come to my aid.(HO)
Brandish spear(HP) and javelin[n](HQ)
    against those who pursue me.
Say to me,
    “I am your salvation.(HR)

May those who seek my life(HS)
    be disgraced(HT) and put to shame;(HU)
may those who plot my ruin
    be turned back(HV) in dismay.
May they be like chaff(HW) before the wind,
    with the angel of the Lord(HX) driving them away;
may their path be dark and slippery,
    with the angel of the Lord pursuing them.

Since they hid their net(HY) for me without cause(HZ)
    and without cause dug a pit(IA) for me,
may ruin overtake them by surprise—(IB)
    may the net they hid entangle them,
    may they fall into the pit,(IC) to their ruin.
Then my soul will rejoice(ID) in the Lord
    and delight in his salvation.(IE)
10 My whole being will exclaim,
    “Who is like you,(IF) Lord?
You rescue the poor from those too strong(IG) for them,
    the poor and needy(IH) from those who rob them.”

11 Ruthless witnesses(II) come forward;
    they question me on things I know nothing about.
12 They repay me evil for good(IJ)
    and leave me like one bereaved.
13 Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth(IK)
    and humbled myself with fasting.(IL)
When my prayers returned to me unanswered,
14     I went about mourning(IM)
    as though for my friend or brother.
I bowed my head in grief
    as though weeping for my mother.
15 But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee;(IN)
    assailants gathered against me without my knowledge.
    They slandered(IO) me without ceasing.
16 Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked;[o](IP)
    they gnashed their teeth(IQ) at me.

17 How long,(IR) Lord, will you look on?
    Rescue me from their ravages,
    my precious life(IS) from these lions.(IT)
18 I will give you thanks in the great assembly;(IU)
    among the throngs(IV) I will praise you.(IW)
19 Do not let those gloat over me
    who are my enemies(IX) without cause;
do not let those who hate me without reason(IY)
    maliciously wink the eye.(IZ)
20 They do not speak peaceably,
    but devise false accusations(JA)
    against those who live quietly in the land.
21 They sneer(JB) at me and say, “Aha! Aha!(JC)
    With our own eyes we have seen it.”

22 Lord, you have seen(JD) this; do not be silent.
    Do not be far(JE) from me, Lord.
23 Awake,(JF) and rise(JG) to my defense!
    Contend(JH) for me, my God and Lord.
24 Vindicate me in your righteousness, Lord my God;
    do not let them gloat(JI) over me.
25 Do not let them think, “Aha,(JJ) just what we wanted!”
    or say, “We have swallowed him up.”(JK)

26 May all who gloat(JL) over my distress(JM)
    be put to shame(JN) and confusion;
may all who exalt themselves over me(JO)
    be clothed with shame and disgrace.
27 May those who delight in my vindication(JP)
    shout for joy(JQ) and gladness;
may they always say, “The Lord be exalted,
    who delights(JR) in the well-being of his servant.”(JS)

28 My tongue will proclaim your righteousness,(JT)
    your praises all day long.(JU)

29 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.

11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

30 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

31 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the Lord.

I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

13 For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

14 But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.

15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.

17 Let me not be ashamed, O Lord; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21 Blessed be the Lord: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

23 O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

32 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

33 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

35 Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them.

Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them.

For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.

Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

10 All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

11 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

12 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:

16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

20 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

22 This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

24 Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

25 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
