Psalm 146:3-5

3 Do not trust in human leaders.
    No human can save you.
4 When they die, they return to the ground.
    On that day, their plans come to an end.
5 The person who knows that the God of Jacob will help him is a happy person![a]
    If he trusts in the Lord as his God, he is happy.

  1. 146:5 Jacob was the ancestor of the Israelites. ‘The God of Jacob’ means the God that Jacob worshipped. So it also means the God that the Israelites worshipped, who is the Lord.

    in human beings,(B) who cannot save.
4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;(C)
    on that very day their plans come to nothing.(D)
5 Blessed are those(E) whose help(F) is the God of Jacob,
    whose hope is in the Lord their God.
