⁷ Restore us, God Almighty;
    make your face shine on us,
    that we may be saved.^(A)

⁴ Restore^(A) us again, God our Savior,^(B)
    and put away your displeasure toward us.
⁵ Will you be angry with us forever?^(C)
    Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
⁶ Will you not revive^(D) us again,
    that your people may rejoice^(E) in you?

¹⁸ “I have surely heard Ephraim’s moaning:
    ‘You disciplined^(A) me like an unruly calf,^(B)
    and I have been disciplined.
Restore^(C) me, and I will return,
    because you are the Lord my God.
