Proverbs 15:3-5

Good News Translation

³The Lord sees what happens everywhere; he is watching us, whether we do good or evil.

⁴Kind words bring life, but cruel words crush your spirit.

⁵It is foolish to ignore what your parents taught you; it is wise to accept their correction.

³The eyes^(A) of the Lord are everywhere,^(B)
keeping watch on the wicked and the good.^(C)

⁴The soothing tongue^(D) is a tree of life,^(E)
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.^(F)

⁵A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.^(G)
