But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean(A) on account of a dead body.(B) So they came to Moses and Aaron(C) that same day and said to Moses, “We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?(D)

Moses answered them, “Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.”(E)

Then the Lord said to Moses, 10 “Tell the Israelites: ‘When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body(F) or are away on a journey, they are still to celebrate(G) the Lord’s Passover, 11 but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month(H) at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.(I)

And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the Lord in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the Lord.

11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
