Fire From the Lord

11 Now the people complained^(A) about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord,^(B) and when he heard them his anger was aroused.^(C) Then fire from the Lord burned among them^(D) and consumed^(E) some of the outskirts of the camp.

² When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed^(A) to the Lord^(B) and the fire died down.

¹³ Moses said to the Lord, “Then the Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them.^(A)

¹⁹ In accordance with your great love, forgive^(A) the sin of these people,^(B) just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.”^(C)
