7 Hence, he declared with an oath to give her whatever she asked. 8 And the one, having been prompted[a] by her mother, says, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist”. 9 And [although] having been grieved, the king ordered that it be given, because of the oaths and the ones reclining-back-with him [to eat].
