38 So he came unto the house of the ruler of the Synagogue, and saw the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And he went in, and said unto them, Why make ye this trouble, and weep? the child is not dead, but sleepeth.

37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.(A) 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader,(B) Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing?
