22 But his[a] father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it[b] on him, and put a ring on his finger[c] and sandals on his[d] feet! 23 And bring the fattened calf—kill it[e] and let us eat and[f] celebrate, 24 because this son of mine was dead, and is alive again! He was lost and is found!’ And they began to celebrate.
