34 But the Spirit of the Lord [a]came upon Gideon (A)and he blew a trumpet, and [b]Abiezer was joined with him.
35 And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, which was also joined with him, and he sent messengers unto Asher, and to Zebulun and to Naphtali, and they came up to meet them.
36 Then Gideon said unto God, [c]If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

34 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on(A) Gideon, and he blew a trumpet,(B) summoning the Abiezrites(C) to follow him. 35 He sent messengers throughout Manasseh, calling them to arms, and also into Asher,(D) Zebulun and Naphtali,(E) so that they too went up to meet them.(F)
