John 9:8-10

8 Therefore the neighbors, and those who previously saw him as a beggar, were saying, “Is not this the one who used to (A)sit and beg?” 9 Others were saying, “This is he,” still others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” [a]He kept saying, “I am the one.” 10 So they were saying to him, “How then were your eyes opened?”

8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”(A) 9 Some claimed that he was.
Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”
But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”
10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.
