John 9:7-9
New American Standard Bible
7 and said to him, “Go, wash in (A)the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he left and (B)washed, and (C)came back seeing. 8 So the neighbors, and those who previously saw [a]him as a beggar, were saying, “Is this not the one who used to (D)sit and beg?” 9 Others were saying, “This is he,” still others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” [b]The man himself kept saying, “I am the one.”

New International Version
7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam”(A) (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.(B)
8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”(C) 9 Some claimed that he was.
Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”
But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”
