40 But as it is, (A)you are seeking to kill Me, a man who has (B)told you the truth, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do. 41 You are doing the deeds of (C)your father.” They said to Him, “We were not born as a result of sexual immorality; (D)we have one Father: God.” 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, (E)you would love Me, (F)for I came forth from God and am here; for I have (G)not even come [a]on My own, but [b](H)He sent Me.

“We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”(D)
42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me,(E) for I have come here from God.(F) I have not come on my own;(G) God sent me.(H)
