2 So they gave a dinner for him there. (A)Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those reclining with him at table. 3 (B)Mary therefore took a pound[a] of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said,

2 Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served,(A) while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3 Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume;(B) she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.(C) And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him,(D) objected,
