Darby Translation
2 It was [the] Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
3 The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 But when Jesus heard [it], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.

2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.)(A) 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love(B) is sick.”
4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory(C) so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”
