²⁸Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses!^(A)

²⁸Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

²⁹We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”^(A)

²⁹We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

¹¹Then they secretly^(A) persuaded some men to say, “We have heard Stephen speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.”^(B)
