10 Before them the earth (A)quakes,
The heavens tremble,
The (B)sun and the moon become dark,
And the stars lose their brightness.
11 The Lord (C)utters His voice before (D)His army;
His camp is indeed very great,
For (E)mighty is one who carries out His word.
The (F)day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome,
And (G)who can endure it?
12 “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“(H)Return to Me with all your heart,
And with (I)fasting, weeping, and mourning;
13 And (J)tear your heart and not merely (K)your garments.”
Now return to the Lord your God,
For He is (L)gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger, abounding in mercy
And (M)relenting of catastrophe.
14 Who knows, (N)He might turn and relent,
And leave a (O)blessing behind Him,
Resulting in (P)a grain offering and a drink offering
For the Lord your God.

12 “Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return(J) to me with all your heart,(K)
with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
13 Rend your heart(L)
and not your garments.(M)
Return(N) to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,(O)

and he relents from sending calamity.(Q)

16 Then they gathered the kings together(A) to the place that in Hebrew(B) is called Armageddon.(C)
17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,(D) and out of the temple(E) came a loud voice(F) from the throne, saying, “It is done!”(G) 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder(H) and a severe earthquake.(I) No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth,(J) so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city(K) split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered(L) Babylon the Great(M) and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.(N) 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.(O) 21 From the sky huge hailstones,(P) each weighing about a hundred pounds,[a] fell on people. And they cursed God(Q) on account of the plague of hail,(R) because the plague was so terrible.

15 And he *said to me, “The (L)waters which you saw where the prostitute sits are (M)peoples and multitudes, and nations and languages. 16 And the (N)ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her (O)desolate and (P)naked, and will (Q)eat her flesh and will (R)burn her up with fire. 17 For (S)God has put it in their hearts to execute His [b]purpose [c]by (T)having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the (U)words of God will be fulfilled. 18 The woman whom you saw is (V)the great city, which [d]reigns over the kings of the earth.”

12 “The ten horns(B) you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour(C) will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.(D) 14 They will wage war(E) against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over(F) them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings(G)—and with him will be his called, chosen(H) and faithful followers.”
15 Then the angel said to me, “The waters(I) you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.(J) 16 The beast and the ten horns(K) you saw will hate the prostitute.(L) They will bring her to ruin(M) and leave her naked;(N) they will eat her flesh(O) and burn her with fire.(P) 17 For God has put it into their hearts(Q) to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority,(R) until God’s words are fulfilled.(S) 18 The woman you saw is the great city(T) that rules over the kings of the earth.”

17 Then I saw [c]an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to (R)all the birds that fly in (S)midheaven, “(T)Come, assemble for the great feast of God, 18 so that you may (U)eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, (V)both free and slaves, and (W)small and great.”
19 And I saw (X)the beast and (Y)the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who (Z)sat on the horse, and against His army.
Doom of the Beast and False Prophet
20 And the beast was seized, and with him the (AA)false prophet who (AB)performed the signs [d](AC)in his presence, by which he (AD)deceived those who had received the (AE)mark of the beast and those who (AF)worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the (AG)lake of (AH)fire, which burns with [e]brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which (AI)came from the mouth of Him who (AJ)sat on the horse, and (AK)all the birds were filled with their flesh.

The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast
11 I saw heaven standing open(A) and there before me was a white horse, whose rider(B) is called Faithful and True.(C) With justice he judges and wages war.(D) 12 His eyes are like blazing fire,(E) and on his head are many crowns.(F) He has a name written on him(G) that no one knows but he himself.(H) 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,(I) and his name is the Word of God.(J) 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,(K) white(L) and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword(M) with which to strike down(N) the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a](O) He treads the winepress(P) of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:(Q)
king of kings and lord of lords.(R)
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds(S) flying in midair,(T) “Come,(U) gather together for the great supper of God,(V) 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people,(W) free and slave,(X) great and small.”(Y)
19 Then I saw the beast(Z) and the kings of the earth(AA) and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse(AB) and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet(AC) who had performed the signs(AD) on its behalf.(AE) With these signs he had deluded(AF) those who had received the mark of the beast(AG) and worshiped its image.(AH) The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake(AI) of burning sulfur.(AJ) 21 The rest were killed with the sword(AK) coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse,(AL) and all the birds(AM) gorged themselves on their flesh.
