2 “Listen to my words, you wise men;
hear[a] me, you learned men.[b]
3 For the ear assesses[c] words
as the mouth[d] tastes food.
4 Let us evaluate[e] for ourselves what is right;[f]
let us come to know among ourselves what is good.
