³ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “^(A)Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you dwell in this place. ^4 (B)Do not trust in deceptive words, saying, ‘^[a]This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’ ⁵ For ^(C)if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly ^(D)practice justice between a man and his neighbor, ⁶ if you do not oppress the alien, the ^[b](E)orphan, or the widow, and do not shed ^(F)innocent blood in this place, nor ^(G)walk after other gods to your own ruin, ⁷ then I will let you ^(H)dwell in this place, in the ^(I)land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.

¹¹ So now then, speak to the men of Judah and against the inhabitants of Jerusalem saying, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Behold, I am ^(A)fashioning calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh ^(B)turn back, each of you from his evil way, and ^[a]reform your ways and your deeds.”’

^31 (A)Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a ^(B)new heart and a new spirit! For why will you die, O house of Israel?
