Jeremiah 31:37-39
Easy-to-Read Version
37 The Lord says, “I will never reject the descendants of Israel.
That would happen only if people could measure the sky above,
and learn all the secrets of the earth below.
Only then would I reject them for the bad things they have done.”
This message is from the Lord.
The New Jerusalem
38 This message is from the Lord, “The days are coming when the city of Jerusalem will be rebuilt for the Lord. The whole city will be rebuilt—from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. 39 The measuring line[a] will stretch from the Corner Gate straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn to the place named Goah.

New International Version
37 This is what the Lord says:
“Only if the heavens above can be measured(A)
and the foundations of the earth below be searched out
will I reject(B) all the descendants of Israel
because of all they have done,”
declares the Lord.
38 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when this city will be rebuilt(C) for me from the Tower of Hananel(D) to the Corner Gate.(E) 39 The measuring line(F) will stretch from there straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn to Goah.
