37 Thus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah.
38 Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel unto the gate of the corner. 39 And the measuring line shall go out further straight onward unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn about unto Goah.

37 This is what the Lord says:
“Only if the heavens above can be measured(A)
and the foundations of the earth below be searched out
will I reject(B) all the descendants of Israel
because of all they have done,”
declares the Lord.
38 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when this city will be rebuilt(C) for me from the Tower of Hananel(D) to the Corner Gate.(E) 39 The measuring line(F) will stretch from there straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn to Goah.
