13 While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke(A) to you again and again,(B) but you did not listen;(C) I called(D) you, but you did not answer.(E) 14 Therefore, what I did to Shiloh(F) I will now do to the house that bears my Name,(G) the temple(H) you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors. 15 I will thrust you from my presence,(I) just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’(J)

16 “So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea(K) or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen(L) to you.

14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

“They greatly love to wander;
    they do not restrain their feet.(A)
So the Lord does not accept(B) them;
    he will now remember(C) their wickedness
    and punish them for their sins.”(D)
