God Is Dealing With You As Sons

You are enduring[b] [your trials] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers[c], then you are illegitimate[d] children and not sons.

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children.(C) For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline(D)—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.
