For by it the (A)men of old [a](B)gained approval.

By faith we understand that the [b](C)worlds were prepared (D)by the word of God, so that what is seen (E)was not made out of things which are visible. By faith (F)Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he (G)obtained the testimony that he was righteous, God testifying [c]about his (H)gifts, and through [d]faith, though (I)he is dead, he still speaks.

By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended(C) as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings.(D) And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.(E)
