⁸ Go up into the mountains and bring down timber^(A) and build my house, so that I may take pleasure^(B) in it and be honored,^(C)” says the Lord.

¹⁹ Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate^(A) and the olive tree have not borne fruit.^(B)

“‘From this day on I will bless^(C) you.’”

⁹ This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Now hear these words, ‘Let your hands be strong^(A) so that the temple may be built.’ This is also what the prophets^(B) said who were present when the foundation^(C) was laid for the house of the Lord Almighty.
