The [a](A)Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of mankind, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that (B)every intent of the thoughts of [b]their hearts was only evil continually. So (C)the Lord was sorry that He had made mankind on the earth, and He was (D)grieved [c]in His heart.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth,(D) and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.(E) The Lord regretted(F) that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
