21 Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the [a]persons, and take the goods for yourself.”
22 But Abram (A)said to the king of Sodom, “I (B)have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, (C)the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that (D)I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’—

New International Version
21 The king of Sodom(A) said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods(B) for yourself.”
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom,(C) “With raised hand(D) I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High,(E) Creator of heaven and earth,(F) 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you,(G) not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.’
