²⁴ Then God came to Laban the Aramean^(A) in a dream at night and said to him,^(B) “Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”^(C)

² And God spoke to Israel^(A) in a vision at night^(B) and said, “Jacob! Jacob!”

“Here I am,”^(C) he replied.

³⁰ The donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?”

“No,” he said.
