²⁴That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united^(A) to his wife, and they become one flesh.^(B)

²⁴Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

⁶So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
