15 But if you (A)bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.
16 But I say, (B)walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out (C)the desire of the flesh. 17 For (D)the flesh [a]sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, (E)so that you may not do the things that you [b]please.

15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit,(A) and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.(B) 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.(C) They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want.(D)
