Galatians 3:12-14

12 But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.(A)[a] 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us,(B) because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.(C)[b] 14 The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.(D)

12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”[a](A) 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law(B) by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”[b](C) 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus,(D) so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.(E)
