15 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in that land. When they chase after their gods as though they were prostitutes and sacrifice to them, they may invite you to eat the meat from their sacrifices with them. 16 Then your sons will end up marrying their daughters. When their daughters chase after their gods as though they were prostitutes, they’ll lead your sons to do the same thing.

15 “Be careful not to make a treaty(A) with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute(B) themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.(C) 16 And when you choose some of their daughters as wives(D) for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods,(E) they will lead your sons to do the same.
