14 And the layer of dew came up, and there[a] on the face of the desert was a fine granular substance, fine like frost on the ground. 15 And the Israelites[b] saw, and they said to each other,[c] “What is this?” because they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “That is the bread that Yahweh has given to you as food. 16 This is the word that Yahweh commanded, ‘Gather from it, each according to what he can eat,[d] an omer per person[e] according to the number of you.[f] You each shall take enough for whoever is in his tent.’”
