Exodus 15:21-23
World English Bible
21 Miriam answered them,
“Sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously.
He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.”
22 Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. 23 When they came to Marah, they couldn’t drink from the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore its name was called Marah.[a]

New International Version
21 Miriam sang(A) to them:
“Sing to the Lord,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver(B)
he has hurled into the sea.”(C)
The Waters of Marah and Elim
22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert(D) of Shur.(E) For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.(F) 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.[a](G))
