¹² “I have heard the grumbling^(A) of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’”^(B)

¹³ That evening quail^(A) came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew^(B) around the camp.

³¹ Now a wind went out from the Lord and drove quail^(A) in from the sea. It scattered them up to two cubits^[a] deep all around the camp, as far as a day’s walk in any direction.

³² All that day and night and all the next day the people went out and gathered quail. No one gathered less than ten homers.^[a] Then they spread them out all around the camp.
