6 not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as [a]servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the [b]heart; 7 with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men: 8 knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ,(A) doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,(B) 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do,(C) whether they are slave or free.
