2 So the king commanded that the magicians, the enchanters, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans be summoned to tell the king his dreams. When they came in and stood before the king,(A) 3 he said to them, “I have had such a dream that my spirit is troubled by the desire to understand it.”(B) 4 The Chaldeans said to the king (in Aramaic),[a] “O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will reveal the interpretation.”(C)

New International Version
2 So the king summoned the magicians,(A) enchanters, sorcerers(B) and astrologers[a](C) to tell him what he had dreamed.(D) When they came in and stood before the king, 3 he said to them, “I have had a dream that troubles(E) me and I want to know what it means.[b]”
4 Then the astrologers answered the king,[c](F) “May the king live forever!(G) Tell your servants the dream, and we will interpret it.”
