⁷ and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, ^[a](A)when the Lord Jesus will be revealed ^(B)from heaven ^(C)with ^[b]His mighty angels ^8 (D)in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who ^(E)do not know God, and to those who ^(F)do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. ⁹ These people will pay the penalty of ^(G)eternal destruction, ^(H)away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, ¹⁰ when He comes to be ^(I)glorified among His ^[c]saints on that ^(J)day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—because our ^(K)testimony to you was believed.

⁷ but in the days of the voice of the ^(A)seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then ^(B)the mystery of God is finished, as He announced to His servants the prophets.

⁸ Then ^(C)the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take ^(D)the scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who ^(E)stands on the sea and on the land.” ⁹ And I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. And he *said to me, “^(F)Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” ¹⁰ I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.
