¹⁶So the Lord says, `Come away from among bad people. Stay away from them. Do not touch what is not clean. And I will receive you.

¹⁷I will be your father. And you shall be my sons and daughters.' The Lord who is ruler of all says that.

2 Corinthians 6:16-18

New International Version

¹⁶What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?^(A) For we are the temple^(B) of the living God.^(C) As God has said:

“I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.”^[a]^(D)

¹⁷Therefore,

“Come out from them^(E)
and be separate,
says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you.”^[b]^(F)

¹⁸And,

“I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,^(G)
says the Lord Almighty.”^[c]^(H)
