16 The temple of God cannot have any agreement with idols. And we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live with them and walk with them. And I will be their God. And they will be my people.”[a]
17 “Leave those people,
and make yourselves pure, says the Lord.
Touch nothing that is unclean,
and I will accept you.” Isaiah 52:11; Ezekiel 20:34, 41
18 “I will be your father,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord All-Powerful.” 2 Samuel 7:14; 7:8

16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?(A) For we are the temple(B) of the living God.(C) As God has said:
“I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.”[a](D)
17 Therefore,
“Come out from them(E)
and be separate,
says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you.”[b](F)
