16 And what agreement does God’s sanctuary have with idols?(A) For we[a] are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said:

I will dwell among them(B)
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,(C)
and they will be My people.(D)[b]
17 Therefore, come out from among them
and be separate, says the Lord;
do not touch any unclean thing,
and I will welcome you.(E)[c]
18 I will be a Father(F) to you,
and you will be sons(G) and daughters to Me,
says the Lord Almighty.(H)[d]

16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?(A) For we are the temple(B) of the living God.(C) As God has said:

“I will live with them
    and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
    and they will be my people.”[a](D)

17 Therefore,

says the Lord.
