³⁰ And this thing became a sin;^(A) the people came to worship the one at Bethel and went as far as Dan to worship the other.^[a]

³¹ Yet Jehu was not careful^(A) to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins^(B) of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.

⁸ “And now you plan to resist the kingdom of the Lord, which is in the hands of David’s descendants.^(A) You are indeed a vast army and have with you^(B) the golden calves^(C) that Jeroboam made to be your gods.
