17 The House, that is, the Sanctuary, was 40 cubits long in front of the inner Sanctuary. 18 The cedar of the interior of the House was carved as gourds and open flowers. All was cedar; no stone was visible.
19 He prepared an inner Sanctuary within the House, to set there the ark of the covenant of Adonai.

17 The main hall in front of this room was forty cubits[a] long. 18 The inside of the temple was cedar,(A) carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.
19 He prepared the inner sanctuary(B) within the temple to set the ark of the covenant(C) of the Lord there.
