29 God did this so that no one can ·brag [boast] in his presence. 30 Because of God you are ·in [united with; in relationship with] Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God. ·In Christ we are put right with God, and have been made holy, and have been set free from sin [L …and became for us righteousness, holiness, and redemption]. 31 So, as the Scripture says, “If people want to ·brag [boast], they should ·brag [boast] only about the Lord [Jer. 9:24].”

New International Version
29 so that no one may boast before him.(A) 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,(B) who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness,(C) holiness(D) and redemption.(E) 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a](F)
