31 And He will send-out His angels with a loud trumpet. And they will gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends[a] of the heavens to their [other] ends.

32 “Now learn the parable from the fig-tree[b]: when its branch already becomes tender and grows-out its leaves, you know that the summer is near. 33 So also you— when you see all[c] these things, you know[d] that He[e] is near, at the doors.

- Matthew 24:31 Or, extremities. That is, from horizon to horizon; or, from all earth (the four winds) and all heaven.
- Matthew 24:32 Some think that this has reference to Israel; others, that it is simply an illustration for which any fruit tree would have worked, as in Lk 21:29.
- Matthew 24:33 When you see all of v 5-29 or 15-29, you are seeing the tree leafed out.
